With roots in Örebro, Sweden, Truckfighters have been carving their own paths through fuzz-drenched desert rock since 2001. What began with early EPs and the debut album Gravity X in 2005 has evolved into a legacy defined by heavy riffs, expansive grooves and psychedelic “fuzz monster” energy – qualities that have earned them comparisons with the great names of desert and stoner rock. Despite several line-up changes over the years – particularly behind the drum kit – the founding duo Oskar “Ozo” Cedermalm (bass/vocals) and Niklas “Dango” Källgren (guitar) have always remained the core of the band. Over time, they have built a reputation as one of Europe’s leading heavy psych rock bands, with five studio albums and countless live shows to their name. A Truckfighters concert is a live experience with energy and atmosphere in a class of its own – exactly as it should be. Quite simply, nothing compares to Truckfighters live. After the album V in 2016, a long time passed before new material saw the light of day – but now Truckfighters are back at full force. The band has confirmed that a brand new full-length album, titled Masterflow, will be released in spring 2026. Each participant will, by the end of the course, have made a spoon from fresh wood to take home – carved by hand using traditional woodcarving techniques. Participants will gain knowledge about different local wood species and how they can continue carving at home. Spoons // Ignoring is a multi-faceted project that, through carving, workshops, text, and installation, explores both the need to turn away from one’s surroundings and the need to come together in community. It is one of several works in which Ablett examines how place and belonging influence the way we communicate with one another. Through her project Spoons // Ignoring, artist Amber Ablett has explored woodcarving as a meditative practice together with audiences since 2018. The workshop will be held partly in English and partly in Norwegian. This workshop is part of the programme for the exhibition KUNST.HÅND.VERK. • Amber Ablett (b. 1986 in London, UK) is an artist and writer based on Osterøy. Their debut album "Jormundgand" is widely regarded as a Viking metal classic, and after 12 albums and a mini-album, Helheim continue to push the boundaries of their art. Their latest album "HrabnaR/Advesa" came out in 2025, but the band has yet to present the album live. This will, however, be the main focus when Helheim hits the stage at Hulen. Prepare for a journey through darkness, melancholy, and ancient wisdom - as only Helheim can deliver. SKULD Skuld is a newly formed band from Bergen operating in the space between black metal and shoegaze. The band consists of experienced musicians with connections to acts such as Taake, Nifrost, Blodhemn, Drittmaskin, and Confabulation, and has quickly made a name for itself in the Norwegian underground scene. The debut single Æreskrans received excellent reviews, earning 5 out of 6 from Bergens Tidende, which wrote: “At last, something exciting is happening again in the Bergen metal underground. Skuld continues this trend with Æreskrans, the most sorrowful and melancholic song of the year so far.” The debut album Skogen was released in September 2024, marking the beginning of a strong run of concerts. One musical depiction of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers towers above them all. When Serge Prokofiev’s ballet score was first heard in 1940, audiences can’t have been in any doubt as to the characters and events the composer was describing. His score is one of the most remarkable renderings of character, mood and circumstance in musical history - its iconic Dance of the Knights depicting a stand-off between the Montagues and the Capulets with ground-shaking brilliance. Before excerpts from Prokofiev’s story in music, Honorary Conductor Edward Gardner conducts pieces of contemporary music that will feel very close to home. Ketil Hvoslef’s The Godfather salutes the composer’s own godfather, Harald Heide, who conducted the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra for over 40 years. After that, international star and local treasure Leif Ove Andsnes takes to the piano stool for a major premiere: a new Piano Concerto from our composer-in-residence, Ørjan Matre.

Fra øyeblikket kveldens finske Dima Slobodeniouk løfter dirigentpinnen til han legger den fra seg, har publikum fått oppleve et fyrverkeri av en konsert pakket med energi, driv, humor, virtuositet og det hjerteskjærende vakre. Kveldens konsert innledes med et fargerikt og eksplosivt orkestralt utbrudd i John Adams’ verk Slonimsky’s Earbox fra 1995. Adams er inspirert av den gnistrende åpningen i Stravinskys symfoniske dikt Le chant du Rossignol. Slonimsky i tittelen viser til russeren Nicholas Slonimsky, som skrev en rekke bøker om musikk, deriblant The Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns, som har hatt stor betydning for Adams. Dmitri Sjostakovitsj var bare 21 år gammel da han skrev sin første av to pianokonserter. Den første, fra 1927, er et fantastisk eksempel på en ungdommelig sammensmelting av hans uutgrunnelige humor, hans seriøse fokus på å komponere virtuos musikk og ulike stilarter. Mellom to livlige og humørfylte satser har komponisten plassert en hjerteskjærende vakker sakte sats. Sjostakovitsj skrev konserten som en fødselsdagspresang for sin sønn Maxim. Symfoni i tre satser var det første verket Stravinsky komponerte etter at han ble amerikansk statsborger i 1945. I musikken kan vi gjenkjenne elementer fra hans andre komposisjoner, som pianokonserten, musikken til Hollywoodfilmen Sangen om Bernadette og Vårofferet. Selv kalte Stravinsky verket sin krigssymfoni siden den var påbegynt under andre verdenskrig, noe som kan forklare den store dynamikken i verket. Kveldens pianosolist er italienske Federico Colli, som av International Piano Magazine tidligere ble omtalt som en av 30 pianister under 30 år som trolig ville dominere på verdens scener i årene framover. Solist på trompet er britiske Matilda Lloyd som denne sesongen har status som European Concert Halls Organisation (ECHO) Rising Star, noe som gir henne anledning til å spille i prestisjetunge konserthus som Concertgebouw, Musikverein i Wien og Elbphilharmonie i Hamburg. Discover the unique experience of shaping molten glass in this full-day introduction to glassblowing. Guided by the S12 master glassblower, participants will learn fundamental hot glass techniques, work collaboratively in the hot shop, and create three finished objects: Paperweight Bauble Tumbler Age: 18+ Duration: 10:00–16:00 (including 30 min break) Price: NOK 2,800 per person / NOK 2,000 for students or members of NBK / NK maximum 4 people per workshop This workshop is designed for complete beginners and provides a rare opportunity to explore the material over a full day of hands-on learning. Please note: All glass must anneal overnight in the kiln. Finished pieces will be ready for collection the next day or by appointment.

Mia Berg made her debut in 2019 with the EP Intro, receiving praise from CLASH, Bands Of Tomorrow, and Popmani. During the pandemic, Mia began exploring a new landscape of raw and emotional songwriting in a singer-songwriter–inspired style. This led to her debut album Sleepwalkers at Noon, released in autumn 2022. The album earned acclaim from Norwegian and international media such as P1, P3, Bergens Tidende, When the Horns Blow, GAFFA, and ELLE DK. Mia was also nominated for the Danish GAFFA Awards 2023 in three categories and has performed in Germany, Denmark, and Norway over the past few years. In April 2024, she released the five-track EP Winners, produced and written together with acclaimed producer Mikhael Paskalev. She is now back with new music, and her first single “The City” was released on 26 September, with a pre-premiere on P3, rotation on P1, and promising reviews in GAFFA.

Puedes llegar a Bergen en ferry desde Hirtshals, en Dinamarca.
También puedes desplazarte en ferry entre Bergen y Stavanger.
El puerto de Bergen es una de las principales paradas del barco Hurtigruten, el expreso del litoral noruego, que llega hasta Kirkenes, en el norte, junto a la frontera rusa.

En coche
Desde Oslo, puedes llegar a Bergen por carretera atravesando la meseta de montaña de Hardangervidda, o las montañas de Hemsedal (Hemsedalsfjellet) o la localidad de montaña de Haukeli (entre siete y ocho horas y media de viaje).
Si viajas desde el sur, o desde el norte, puedes conducir a lo largo de la costa y cruzar los fiordos en ferry o por medio de algún puente. Ten en cuenta que en verano son frecuentes las largas colas para embarcar en el ferry, así que probablemente merece la pena madrugar.

Cómo moverse por Bergen
Es fácil moverse por la zona de Bergen gracias a su excelente red de autobuses.
El metro ligero circula entre el parque Byparken y el aeropuerto de Begen. La tarjeta turística Bergen Card permite viajar en autobús y metro ligero sin coste adicional.
